“An Evening With …” is a fundraiser for Centers for Children and Families.
This event has featured such notable names as Lisa Welchel from “The Facts of Life,” Henry Winkler, a.k.a. “the Fonz,” Jim Morris, a.k.a. “The Rookie,” Melissa Gilbert from “The Little House on the Prairie,” Michael Reagan, adopted son of former President Ronald Reagan, Kurt Warner, Super Bowl XXXIV MVP, former Governor of Arkansas, and Presidential Candidate, Mike Huckabee, television and film star Kirk Cameron, and Leigh Anne Tushy, the family portrayed in the Oscar nominated movie "The Blind Side."
Operation Elf is the toy giveaway for the children served through the programs at Centers for Children and families. Each year money and toys are donated for the children and in December, Centers holds a party where the children can pick out a toy from the hundreds that have been donated and purchased. And of course, Santa is always there to see the children, hear their wish lists, and have his picture taken with them.
