Strengthen Our
Community
Because of our reputation for compassion and our track record for
results, Centers for Children and Families has been able to establish
several community collaboratives. These partnerships, each established in
2002, include:
- HeartSpeak, a program where children express thier fears and concerns through artistic expression.
- An anger management seminar through Hospice of Midland's Rainbow Program.
- A Grandparenting Class for people rasing their grandchildren - a growing trnd in Midland.
- A Discipline & Management Seminar for MISD Bus Drivers.
Additional Programs:
Violence Against Women (VAWA): Centers for Children and Families has on staff specialized bilingual therapists to assist women in overcoming abusive situations.
Victims of Crime Program (VOCA): Centers for Children and Families offers specialized services to individuals and families who have been the victims of crime.
Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs): Centers also has available services to Permian Basin workers who seek counseling to meet life's challenges.
Transparenting: Centers offers a four-hour educationsl seminar for divorcing parents, focusing on the needs of their children.
